Derek earned his Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Water Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin – Steven’s Point. He started his career at A.C.E. Building Service as a field employee in 2013. After gaining field experience, Derek transitioned into an estimator and project manager, overseeing design-build projects from inception through completion.
Derek’s primary responsibilities include developing estimates and drawings for construction projects, coordinating work between engineers, architects, and other technical resources, and providing detailed estimates for projects, including project costs.
Along with his design-build and construction knowledge, Derek has unique experience in concrete flatwork, specializing in concrete take-off and estimates. He believes strong communication is the key to project success and will take the time to understand the full scope of every project.
