A.C.E. Building Service Recognized with Awards for Construction Excellence

Two local A.C.E. Building Service projects have been recognized by ABC of Wisconsin as the most impressive and unique construction completed by a Wisconsin contractor in 2021.

We are proud to announce two of the company’s construction projects have been recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin with Projects of Distinction Awards. The awards recognize construction projects that are built on merit and are judged by a panel of construction experts based on several criteria, including quality, owner satisfaction, unusual challenges, and safety. The awards will be presented on January 27, 2022, during a banquet at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by ABC of Wisconsin with Projects of Distinction awards that put a spotlight on our specialized construction services for industrial and commercial customers,” said Chris Herzog, president of A.C.E. Building Service. “From design-build to renovation and expansion, repair and maintenance to roofing services, our team is dedicated to building long-lasting, collaborative relationships that provide the most desirable and cost-effective solutions.”

A.C.E. Building Service Will Be Presented With the Following Projects of Distinction Awards:

PetSkull Brewing Company (Gold Award)

A.C.E. Building Service worked with PetSkull Brewing of Manitowoc and local developer Allie Family Companies, the building owner, from conceptual planning through design-build project completion of the 7,000 square foot building. The three parties worked to help the century-old building, which sat empty for over 30 years, come back to life with a beautiful interior and exterior appearance mirroring the original build time period. The end result preserved a historical landmark and created a unique environment to enjoy craft beer.

A.C.E. Building Service worked with the City of Manitowoc to construct a new seasonal community park facility on the shore of Lake Michigan. The functional park shelter was designed to be a visually ornate addition to the Manitowoc lakeshore while also serving as a public space for the community. The 2,500 square foot project includes restroom facilities and a beach shower to accommodate users of the Mariners Trail and visitors of the adjacent public beach. Featuring 20th-century boathouse architecture, the pavilion also includes a public drinking fountain, pet drinking fountain, and open-air shelter space.
