Dakota Supply Group (DSG)

Dakota Supply Group is one of the Midwest’s largest employee-owned distributors of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility products. DSG partnered with local development group High Tech Investments, who contacted with A.C.E. Building Service to construct this new 40,000-square-foot facility in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

This new distribution center replaced an outdated downtown facility that struggled with accessibility, segmented layouts, and limited capacity. The state-of-the-art Butler Landmark building system provides expansive warehouse space, dedicated office areas, a screened exterior bulk storage yard, and client-facing demonstration areas.

Key design and construction highlights include:

  • Efficient Distribution: Wide bay spacing and high ceiling elevations strategically configured for optimized pallet rack layouts and increased inventory capacity.

  • Durability & Functionality: Pre-engineered steel structure, reinforced southern-facing docks for safe winter operations, and 12 months of continuous service transition planning.

  • Energy & Comfort: Daylighting throughout the warehouse and high-volume, low-speed fans improve working conditions while reducing energy consumption.

  • Collaboration in Action: Over 14,500 labor hours were logged with zero recordable incidents

The result is a customer-friendly, high-performance distribution hub that enhances DSG’s visibility, efficiency, and long-term growth strategy.
