Bank First — Denmark Branch

A.C.E. Building Service partnered with Bank First to design and construct a new 7,600-square-foot banking facility in Denmark, Wisconsin — replacing the bank's existing branch on the same site with a modern, highly functional building reflective of Bank First's continued growth and investment in the communities it serves.

Because the new branch occupies the same property as the facility it replaced, Bank First needed to keep serving customers throughout construction. Before demolition began, A.C.E. installed a specialized temporary banking facility on site, allowing Bank First's team to continue operating just steps from active construction without interrupting service to their customers.

Additional key highlights of A.C.E.'s work on this project included:

• Utility Coordination: An existing gas main was discovered in a different location than the available records indicated. A.C.E. identified the conflict early and adjusted the construction sequence to protect the utility while keeping the project on schedule.

• Winter Construction: With foundation work falling during the tail end of a Wisconsin winter, A.C.E. implemented temporary protection and cold-weather concrete procedures to keep the concrete work — and the schedule — moving forward.

• Exterior Design: Dimensional cut stone veneer, composite wood-look panels, aluminum storefront glazing, and clear anodized aluminum sunshades combine with varying rooflines for a contemporary, lasting appearance.

• Interior Design: Tall ceilings, clerestory windows, expansive glass walls, and locally sourced artwork give the branch an open, welcoming feel that stands apart from a traditional banking environment.

The finished facility includes a teller line, private offices, conference space, drive-through teller lanes, and secure cash and safe deposit areas — all integrated with the building's security and technology systems without compromising the design. An impressive landscape design, including trees, plantings, and an irrigation system, rounds out the finished site.

Throughout construction, the site continued to function as Bank First's place of business. Customers and employees continued to come and go while demolition, excavation, and construction activity took place nearby, requiring constant coordination and awareness from the project team. Despite those challenges, the project was completed with a perfect safety record across more than 21,000 labor hours.
