A.C.E. Building Service was proud to receive a Gold Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin for our outstanding work on this unique construction project.
A.C.E. Building Service was selected as the Design/Build general contractor to design and construct a 54,000-square- foot facility expansion to the Kaysun Corporation’s injection molding manufacturing facility.
The A.C.E. team collaborated with Kaysun stakeholders to create a unique expansion solution designed to maximize the property’s potential for future growth. This project involved the conversion of a portion of the existing roof with a slope build-up re-roof system that reversed the existing roof slope along the expansion common wall. This modification resulted in a higher eave height, which allowed for taller overhead bridge crane hook heights and provided increased capacity for vertical pallet rack storage compared to the original building specifications.
Major infrastructure changes were also required for the expansion, including the relocation of process chiller equipment, gas service, and electrical service transformer.
A.C.E. Building Service self-performed approximately 49.3% of the project, including:
A.C.E. Building Service solicited competitive proposals for all work items not self-performed.
