This 6,504-square-foot industrial office expansion saw the former production area converted to professional office space. Project challenges included insulating the office area from heavy industrial noise created by foundry operations, and determining durable, low-maintenance finishes that could withstand the foot traffic leading in and out of the foundry area. The project incorporated stained polished concrete, an exposed steel staircase with clear coating, and the utilization of materials salvaged from local industrial facilities. A local artisan was commissioned by A.C.E. Building Service to construct a one-of-a-kind boardroom table and cabinetry utilizing salvaged industrial items from the historic J.E. Hamilton Building in Two Rivers, which was demolished in 2015.
