Project Overview
Client: Beacon MarineScope: 5,700-square-foot build
Project Delivery: Design-Build
Location: Sister Bay, Wisconsin
Beacon Marine needed a new building for its service division, which offers start-of-season and end-of-season checks, boat maintenance, winterization, detailing, and minor repairs.
Partnering with Butler, we built a 5,700 square-foot pre-engineered steel building to service marine equipment. The new structure includes private offices, a client retail area, a service bay, tool storage area, an employee break area, and restroom facilities. We incorporated several different wall panel colors, textures, and orientations to give the building an attractive, yet cost-effective appearance.
Daylighting techniques were incorporated into the design of the building in accordance with green building design practices.
The single slope building is designed with the intent of future expansion in mind and offers several different expansion options that can easily integrate with the structure.

Bedrock was encountered at a shallow depth. Extra care was needed for excavation to properly remove the bedrock and achieve proper depth for building foundation and sanitary holding tank.
