A.C.E. Building Service employees attend ABC trade conference

Several employees from A.C.E. Building Service attended the 2017 Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin Convention. The program was broken up into specific areas of focus, including a Marketing and Tech Forum, Safety Conference, Management Conference and Supervisory Training.

Stan Johnson, President, and Chris Herzog, Project Development; attended the Tech Forum and Management Conference segments. The Tech Forum educated companies on how they can use technology to connect to the field through smart devices and websites to help their company improve communications with field supervisors, foremen and project managers. The Management Conference covered topics such as leadership and self-development, construction and safety management, and business management.

Will McPherson, Jeremy Hawig and Mark Backhaus attended the Workers’ Safety Conference and Supervisory Training. Topics discussed in the Workers’ Safety Conference included jobsite hazards, trench safety, OSHA construction updates, electrical safety, fall protection, ladder safety and equipment safety. Supervisory training focused on four main topics including workforce leadership, having a leadership vision, effective communication, and professionalism.

Incorporated in 1963, A.C.E. Building Service is located in Manitowoc. They provide commercial and industrial construction services – including new buildings, expansions, renovations, metal re-roof, facilities maintenance, design/build, and build/lease – to Northeast Wisconsin.

ABC of Wisconsin is a national trade association for the construction industry that actively promotes the merit shop form of construction. They represent more than 800 merit shop contractors, subcontractors, materials supplies, manufacturers and other construction-related professionals throughout Wisconsin and nearly 23,000 member firms nationwide.
