Steel Tradesperson

    We are seeking a strong leader to oversee entire construction projects from start to finish. Must be able to demonstrate experience in carpentry, masonry, and structural steel. Successful completion of an accredited construction training program is preferred. Prior construction foreman experience is required.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Steel Tradesperson performs a variety of tasks for all types of commercial and industrial
    construction sites specializing in steel and pre-engineered metal buildings.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Structural steel erection
    • Install roof and wall coverings
    • Rigging
    • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other construction equipment
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Field Superintendent

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3+ Years experience with steel
    • Physically capable including strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance and ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Detail oriented and efficient
    • Willingness to perform other tasks beyond steel
    • Willingness to work on elevated surfaces and heights
    • Skilled in reading blueprints and construction details

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pre-engineered metal building experience
    • Welding experience and/or certification
    • Steel fabrication experience
