A.C.E. Building Service Announces New Leadership Team

Leadership changes represent the fulfillment of a succession plan initiated in 2019 and include the transfer of ownership from Stan Johnson and Bill Shimek to Chris Herzog, Stuart Johnson, Carolyn Hoffmann, and Max Maigatter.

Manitowoc, WIS, April 5, 2021A.C.E. Building Service, a Northeast Wisconsin-based provider of commercial and industrial construction services, announced today leadership changes that represent the completion of a succession plan initiated in 2019, focusing on evolving industry technologies, service, and growth. The shift includes a transfer of ownership from long-standing leaders Stan Johnson and Bill Shimek to Chris Herzog, Stuart Johnson, Carolyn Hoffmann, and Max Maigatter. In their new roles, A.C.E. Building Service leadership will provide corporate direction for all operations, including expert construction solutions for industrial and commercial customers.   

A.C.E. Building Service executive leadership changes include:

  • Chris Herzog has assumed the role of president.
  • Stan Johnson has shifted focus from company president to project management and training coordinator. He remains chairman of the board.
  • Bill Shimek continues as vice chairman of the board and will shift focus to the special projects division.
  • Carolyn Hoffmann was named chief financial officer.
  • Stuart Johnson was named vice president & chief operations officer.
  • Max Maigatter was named vice president of field operations.

“Today’s organizational announcement is another significant step in our company’s transformational journey since our inception over 70 years ago,” said Chris Herzog, president of A.C.E. Building Service. “Over the past two years, we moved quickly and strategically to structure our organization for expanded growth and service support, and to ensure we adopt emerging industry technologies and practices to best respond to the needs of our customers and partners throughout Wisconsin.”

Building Service’s new leadership team has invested in resources that will continue to drive the unparalleled execution and distinctiveness of projects. These investments include the recent acquisition of and alliances with organizations that have allowed for expanded pre-engineered building solutions and surveying and land development services.
